When Harry Met Sally

Today, I’m going to introduce you a romantic comedy film, When Harry met Sally. This is a typical love story which I really love. I think that a subject of love is quite typical and corny, but that’s why love is ‘romantic.’ I have a strange habit; I watch the same movies repeatedly. I have watched this movie for about 20 times; nevertheless, I am never bored with this film. It was released in 1989 when I was never ever born. Main characters are Harry Burns(Billy Crystal) and Sally Albright(Meg Ryan) who I love both. It deals with a relationship between friendship and love; they have very complicated feelings.

Harry and Sally meet when she gives him a ride to New York after they both graduate from the University of Chicago. Harry is a typical ‘guy’ who is so interested in women and sex, and Sally is a picky eater but really adorable. They are so different in many ways and they think they are never going to be friends. After 5 years, they bump into each other at the airport. They still can’t get along with each other and they wish each other good luck with their respective love life. Another 5 years later, they run into each other at a bookstore. Harry got divorced with his wife and Sally broke up with her boyfriend. One thing and another, finally a close friendship blooms between them, and they both like having a friend. But as time goes by, they feel closeness which is deeper than friendship and finally fall in love with each other.

A lot of men and women are confronted with the problem: "Can a man and a woman be real friends?” I think that friendship is but one remove from love. My boyfriend was once my tutor and we hung out like friends; I never realized that we were going to be a couple.
This film has lots of things to see; the old-fashioned, sceneries of New York, and a pretty appearance of Meg Ryan. If you feel bored and want to see something adorable, you’ve got to watch this film!

my favorite place, Coffee-ary

I have lived in Yong-in for 5 years and I love to live here. I hated here at first because there seemed nothing I could enjoy or play. I felt isolated from my friends who lived in Seoul. Actually, there was nothing; no coffeehouse, no places to eat, and no one whom I know.  I really like studying in café because I cannot concentrate on studying in my house or at the library; I can't stand quietness and I know it's quite weird. But, there was no café near my house and it was so rural. I had to take bus to go to café and it takes at least 10minutes. There's a driver's license test course right opposite my house. I thought any coffee shop couldn't be bulit near the test course; however, surprisingly, one coffee shop came in right next to test course building. I was so excited and happy. I love this place named Coffee-Ari even though there's nothing special, just a normal coffee shop.

I don't know why the name is Coffee-Ary and there's no explanations. It sounds quite nice, though.
This place is so cozy and comfortable, and especially I like it's not crowded. Every time I get here, there are few people. As I said, I don't like quietness; however, I don't like big clamorousness either.
What I mean I don't like quietness is that I cannot stand 'perfect quietness' with any noise. Proper noise makes me calm. Anyway, the first reason I love this place is not being crowded. Second reason is a taste of coffee. Their menus are simple , and I usually order Americano or herbal teas. Americano is my favorite so I grind coffee beans and make a brewed coffee by myself at home. Coffee beans which is sold at Coffee-Ary tastes so good; not so bitter or sour. When I feel bad at health, I have herbal teas. It tastes good and also good for my health. I have peppermint tea a lot. The last reason I love this place is kindness. Once, I went to the cafe with my boyfriend. The owner gave us a free fig bread and it was so good. She said she made it by herself  and wanted us to taste it. She always smiles at us when we get there.

I think Coffee-Ary is a good place to go. It has a reasonable price and really is comfortable. It is not so fancy like other coffee chain stores but it has its own attractions. I want to go there even at this moment right now.

'Real' Modern Family

I’m going to introduce you this famous television drama (comedy), Modern Family. So far, it’s been released by 4th seasons. The reason why I am so fond of this drama is because of its own unique family comedy.

There appears 3 different but connected families. Jay Pritchett sits at the head of a large and unconventional family. Now in his second marriage to his gorgeous young wife, Gloria, Jay has been given something of a second chance. And there’s Gloria’s precious 12-year-old son, Manny. There are some culture clashes, a few misunderstandings, but they are getting much closer with many sweet occasions. Jay's grown daughter, Claire, and her husband, Phil, are the parents of three kids. Three kids; Haley, Alex, and Luke have unique characters for each. Add to this that Phil is just a big kid himself, even if he does always have the best intentions. Claire is the anchor, trying her best not to let her kids have the rebellious childhood she had. Claire's younger brother and Jay's grown son, Mitchell, is busy raising an adopted daughter, Lily, with his gay partner, Cameron. They squabble over something every time they have conversations; however, it’s so adorable. They balance each other out.

The amazing part of this show is the last one. There’s always the memorable and touching moment with someone’s narrations. These 3 families love one another so much. My favorite character in this show is Phil. Phil is kind of immature dad. He always wants to be hang out with his kids just like friends. He is so friendly and gorgeous, and this character is what I want my dad to be. This show makes me feel cozy and laugh. If you want to laugh out loud without any thoughts, I strongly recommend this comedy show!
